Posted
10/11/19

A portion of Interbay Boulevard between S MacDill Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard will close beginning on Thursday, October 17, 2019, for utility construction.   A utility contractor will be relocating a gas main on Interbay Boulevard between S 3rd Street and S 2nd Street to avoid conflicts with proposed construction of a City of Tampa stormwater project.

The eastbound lane on Interbay Boulevard between S 3rd Street and S 2nd Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on October 17, 2019.  Westbound and eastbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the north side of Interbay Boulevard at all times during construction, with delays.

All lanes on Interbay Boulevard between S 3rd Street and S 2nd Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm Monday, November 11, 2019, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Westbound motorists can use W Gandy Boulevard between S MacDill Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard, in lieu of Interbay Boulevard.
