Tampa, FL. (January 26, 2017) – A portion of Kennedy Boulevard from Ashley Drive to the Hillsborough River closed at 9 am on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 to stage a crane and install landscape at the Rivergate Tower.  The work is being completed by Sunrise Landscape.

One (1) westbound lane of Kennedy Boulevard from Ashley Drive to the Hillsborough River will be closed daily from 9 am and 3:30 pm beginning on January 25, 2017.  It is anticipated that all lanes on Kennedy Boulevard will be reopen to traffic by 3:30 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2017, weather permitting.

Pedestrian access will be available on the south side of Kennedy Boulevard between Ashley Drive and Hyde Park Avenue at all times during the construction.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.  The Brorein Street Bridge and the Cass Street Bridge can be used to travel westbound over the Hillsborough River in lieu of the Kennedy Bridge.
