Temporary Lane Closure Lois Avenue to begin August 8, 2019 for Building Construction

A portion of Lois Avenue between W Cypress Street and W Azeele Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Thursday, August 8, 2019 for building construction.  A private contractor will be installing a new driveway and sidewalk on the west side of S Lois Avenue for the property at the southwest corner of W Kennedy Boulevard.  A utility contractor will also be installing a gas service line on the west side of S Lois Avenue between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Cleveland Street. One (1) southbound lane on Lois Avenue between W North B Street and W Cleveland Street will close at 9 am beginning on August 8, 2019.

 

One (1) southbound lane on Lois Avenue between W North B Street and W Cleveland Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

 

The sidewalk on the west side of S Lois Avenue between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Cleveland Street will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area during construction.

 

All lanes on Lois Avenue between W North B Street and W Cleveland Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, August 23, 2019, weather permitting.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Southbound motorists can use Dale Mabry Highway or West Shore Boulevard between W Cypress Street and W Azeele Street in lieu of Lois Avenue.
