Temporary Lane Closure N 30th Street to begin May 2, 2019 for Utility Construction

Tampa, FL (May 9, 2019) – A portion of N 30th  Street between E Hanna Avenue and E Hillsborough Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing a small wireless facility and removing a pole on the west side of N 30th Street between E Hanna Avenue and E Idlewild Avenue.  The southbound lane on N 30th Street between E Hanna Avenue and E Idlewild Avenue will close at 9 am beginning on May 14, 2019.  

Northbound and southbound traffic will be maintained intermittently on the east side of N 30th Street between E Hanna Avenue and E Idlewild Avenue during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks in the construction area will be closed.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks in the area with signage.

All lanes on N 30th Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, weather permitting. 

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Southbound and northbound motorists can use N 22nd Street between E Hanna Avenue and E Hillsborough Avenue in lieu of N 30th Street.
