Temporary Lane Closure of N Boulevard to begin August 28, 2018 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Boulevard between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Cass Street will close Tuesday, August 28, 2018, for utility construction.  The City contractor will replace an existing fire hydrant on the east side of N Boulevard between Frederic H. Spaulding Drive and W Cass Street, for the University of Tampa.  The  northbound lane on N Boulevard between Frederic H. Spaulding Drive and W Cass Street will close at 9 am on August 28, 2018 and the northbound traffic will be shifted to  the center/left turn lane in the area of construction.   Northbound and southbound traffic will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays. 

The sidewalk on the east side of N Boulevard between the University of Tampa parking garage mid-block crosswalk  and W Cass Street will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained on the west side of N Boulevard, at all times.

All lanes on N Boulevard between Frederic H. Spaulding Drive and W Cass Street will reopen to traffic by 4 pm, on Thursday, August 30, 2018, weather permitting. 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion.  Northbound traffic can use N Willow Avenue between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Cass Street in lieu of N Boulevard.  Northbound truck traffic can use N Howard Avenue between W Kennedy Boulevard and W Cass Street in lieu of N Boulevard.
