(This is a revision to a Traffic Advisory issued on October 2, 2019)

A portion of N Central Avenue between E Hanna Avenue and E Sligh Avenue that closed daily beginning on Monday, October 7, 2019, for utility construction will be extended. A utility contractor will install a gas line on the east side of N Central Avenue between E Fern Street and E Lambright Street.  The northbound lane on N Central Avenue between E Fern Street and N Lambright Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on October 7, 2019.

Northbound and southbound traffic on N Central Avenue between E Fern Street and E Lambright Street will be intermittently maintained on the west side of N Central Avenue, with delays.

The sidewalk in the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area during construction.

It is anticipated that all lanes on N Central Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion.  Northbound and southbound motorists can use N Florida Avenue or N Nebraska Avenue between E Hanna Avenue and E Sligh Avenue, in lieu of N Central Avenue.
