Temporary Lane Closure on N Habana Avenue to begin June 1, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Habana Avenue between W Hillsborough Avenue and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will close daily from 9 am t0 4 pm beginning on Monday, June 1, 2020, for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing communication cable on the west side of N Habana Avenue between Habana Way and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.  The southbound lane on N Habana Avenue between W Osbourne Avenue and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will close at 9 am beginning on June 1, 2020. 

One (1) southbound lane on N Habana Avenue between W Osbourne Avenue and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will be maintained at all times, with delays. 

The sidewalks in the area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured via signage to other sidewalks in the area.

All lanes on N Habana Avenue between W Osbourne Avenue and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Monday, July 20, 2020, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Southbound motorists can use N Armenia Avenue between W Hillsborough Avenue and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in lieu of N Habana Avenue.
