Temporary Lane Closure N Himes Avenue October 22, 2018 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Himes Avenue between W Tampa Bay Boulevard and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will close on Monday, October 22, 2018 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will install underground utilities on the east side of N Himes Avenue between W Woodlawn Avenue and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.  One (1) northbound lane on N Himes Avenue between W Woodlawn Avenue and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will close from 9 am to 4 pm on October 22, 2018.  

One (1) northbound lane on N Himes Avenue between W Woodlawn Avenue and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks in the construction area will be closed.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks in the area with signage.

All lanes on N Himes Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Monday, October 22, 2018, weather permitting. 

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Northbound motorists can use N Dale Mabry Highway between W Tampa Bay Boulevard and W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in lieu of N Himes Avenue.
