Temporary Lane Closure N Lois Avenue to begin November 18, 2019 for Utility Construction

Tampa, FL (November 14, 2019) – A portion of N Lois  Avenue between W Spruce Street and W Kennedy Boulevard will close beginning on Monday, November 18, 2019.  A utility contractor will be installing communication facilities on the west side of N Lois Avenue between W Cypress Street and I-275.  One (1) southbound lane of N Lois Avenue between W Nassau Street and I-275 will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm, beginning on November 18, 2019.

The sidewalk in the area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured via signage to other sidewalks in the area.

It is anticipated that all lanes on N Lois Avenue between W Nassau Street and I-275 will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2019, weather permitting. 

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Southbound motorists can use N Dale Mabry Highway between W Spruce Street and W Kennedy Boulevard in lieu of N Lois Avenue.

Trucks can use N Dale Mabry Highway between W Boy Scout Boulevard and W Kennedy Boulevard in lieu of N Lois Avenue.
