Temporary Lane Closure on N MacDill Avenue to begin April 8, 2019 for Utility Maintenance

A portion of N MacDill Avenue between W Spruce Street and W Columbus Drive that closed beginning on Monday, April 8, 2019 for utility maintenance has been extended.  A City contractor is cleaning and relining sewer lines on N MacDill Avenue at the intersection of W St Conrad Street.  One (1) northbound lane and one (1) southbound lane on N MacDill Avenue between W St John Street and W Beach Street closed beginning on April 8, 2019.  Daily lane closures will continue from 9 am to 4 pm through Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

One (1) northbound lane and one (1) southbound lane of traffic will be maintained on N MacDill Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.

Eastbound and westbound motorists on W St Conrad Street will be restricted to right turn only movements at the intersection of N MacDill Avenue. A portion of W St Conrad Street west of N MacDill Avenue will also be closed during construction.

All lanes on N MacDill Avenue between W St John Street and W Beach Street will be open by 4 pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, weather permitting. 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Northbound and southbound motorists can use N Himes Avenue between W Spruce Street and W Columbus Drive in lieu of N MacDill Avenue.
