Temporary Lane Closure on N Tampa Street to begin November 2, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Tampa Street between E Jackson Street and E Brorein Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, November 2, 2020 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing communication conduit on the west side of N Tampa Street between E Jackson Street and E Brorein Street. One (1) lane on N Tampa Street between E Jackson Street and E Brorein Street will close at 9 am beginning on November 2, 2020.


Two (2) lanes of traffic on N Tampa Street between E Jackson Street and E Brorein Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.


Sidewalks in the construction area will be closed. Pedestrians will be detoured to other sidewalks in the area with signage.


It is anticipated that all lanes on N Tampa Street between E Jackson Street and E Brorein Street will be open by 4 pm on Sunday, November 22, 2020, weather permitting.


The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid congestion.
