Temporary Lane Closure on Old Water Street to begin January 23, 2017 for Amalie Arena Event
A portion of Old Water Street from Channelside Drive to Morgan Street will be closed beginning on Monday, January 23, 2017. One (1) westbound lane of Old Water Street from Channelside Drive to Morgan Street will be closed at 6 am on Monday, January 23, 2017 and will reopen to traffic on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at 11 pm, weather permitting.
Additional lane and road closures are in place on Channelside Drive and on Jefferson Street, as part of the roadway and infrastructure improvements to support area development.
On Saturday, January 28, 2017, the Gasparilla Parade will occur along Bayshore Boulevard and in Tampa’s Downtown. There will be additional lane and road closures around the Amalie Arena and the Tampa Convention Center. Harbour Island bridge will also be closed for parade bus staging.
Motorists should only use Old Water Street to access the South Regional garage, Amelia Arena, Marriott Waterside Hotel and the Tampa History Center on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Harbour Island residents and guests are encouraged to use the Beneficial bridge to access Harbour Island on January 28, 2017.
