Temporary Lane Closure Orange Avenue July 12, 2017 for Traffic Signal Maintenance

07/10/17

A portion of Orange Avenue between Cass Street and Harrison Street will close at 9 am on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, for traffic signal maintenance.  One (1) northbound lane on Orange Avenue adjacent to the center median will close between Cass Street and Harrison Street as the City contractor installs wireless equipment on the traffic signal pole located in the center median at the intersection of Harrison Street.  It is anticipated that the northbound lane on Orange Avenue will reopen to traffic by 12 pm on July 12, 2017, weather permitting.

The City contractor will also be installing wireless equipment on the traffic signal pole located on the northeast corner of Orange Avenue and Scott Street intersection, on July 12, 2017.  All lanes at the intersection of Orange Street and Scott Street will remain open during construction.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative northbound routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Morgan Street can be used in lieu of Orange Avenue between Cass Street and Scott Street.
