Temporary Lane Closure on Palm Avenue to begin July 6, 2017 for Road ConstructionA portion of Palm Avenue between the Nuccio Parkway and N 21st Street and a portion of 19th Street between Palm Avenue and 9th Avenue will close beginning on Thursday, July 6, 2017. A private contractor will install enhanced crosswalks at the intersection of Palm Avenue and 19th Street, as part of the Ybor City Brick and Granite Crosswalk Improvements project. 

19th Street will close between Palm Avenue and 9th Avenue at 9 am on July 6, 2017. Immediately following the completion of the crosswalk on 19th Street, temporary lane closures will occur on Palm Avenue in both directions of travel as the contractor installs crosswalks on the west side of the intersection.  One (1) lane of eastbound and westbound traffic on Palm Avenue will remain open at all times during the construction. 

Pedestrian access will be available on the north side of Palm Avenue and the east side of 19th Street at all times during construction.

All lanes on Palm Avenue and on 19th Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, weather permitting. 


The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
