Temporary Lane Closure of S Beneficial Drive to begin June 12, 2019 for Private Utility Construction

A portion of S Beneficial Drive from Channelside Drive to Knights Run Avenue closed on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 for private utility construction.  A private contractor is installing a TECO vault along the west side of S Beneficial Drive between Channelside Drive and the Tampa History Center. One (1) southbound lane on S Beneficial Drive from Channelside Drive to the Tampa History Center closed at 9 am on June 12, 2019. 

One (1) southbound lane on S Beneficial Drive between Channelside Drive to the Tampa History Center will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

The sidewalk in the construction area is closed during the construction. Pedestrian access is be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

It is anticipated that all lanes on S Beneficial Drive will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, July 26, 2019, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
