Temporary Lane Closure on S Florida Avenue to begin April 6, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of S Florida Avenue between Water Street (formerly Old Water Street) and E Jackson Street will close daily beginning on Monday, April 6, 2020, for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing communication conduit on the east side of S Florida Avenue between Channelside Drive and E Jackson Street. One (1) northbound lane on S Florida Avenue between Water Street and E Jackson Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on April 6, 2020. 
One (1) northbound lane and one (2) southbound lanes on S Florida Avenue between Water Street and Channelside Drive will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
Two (2) northbound lanes on S Florida Avenue between Channelside Drive and E Jackson Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
The sidewalk in the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.
All lanes on S Florida Avenue between Water Street and E Jackson Street will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Saturday, June 6, 2020, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
