Temporary Lane Closure on S Franklin Street began September 10, 2018 for Utility Construction to be Extended

Tampa, FL (September 11, 2018) – A portion of S Franklin Street between Channelside Drive and E Brorein Street closed on Monday, September 10, 2018 for utility construction will be extended.  A utility contractor will install a gas service connection on S Franklin Street between Channelside Drive and E Brorein Street for a new restaurant at 333 S Franklin Street.  Both northbound lanes on S Franklin Street between Channelside Drive and E Brorein Street and one (1) northbound lane on S Franklin Street south of Channelside Drive has closed daily from 9 am to 4 pm since September 10, 2018.

 

The sidewalks on both sides of S Franklin Street between Channelside Drive and E Brorein Street will be maintained during construction. 

 

It is anticipated that all lanes on S Franklin Street will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, September 14, 2018, weather permitting.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
