Temporary Lane Closure S Harbour Island Boulevard to begin April 15, 2019 for Utility Construction

A portion of S Harbour Island Boulevard between Knights Run Avenue and Old Water Street will close beginning on Monday, April 15, 2019. A City of Tampa contractor will be installing a sanitary force main by-pass on the east side of the Harbour Island Bridge.  S Harbour Island Boulevard between Knights Run Avenue and Old Water Street will close daily from 9 am to 3 pm beginning on Monday, April 15, 2019.

 

Southbound traffic between Old Water Street and Knights Run will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

 

The sidewalk on the east side of S Harbour Island Boulevard between Knights Run and Old Water Street will close at 9 am April 15, 2019 and will reopen to pedestrians on Monday, July 1, 2019.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

 

It is anticipated that all lanes on S Harbour Island Boulevard will reopen to traffic by 3 pm on Friday, May 3, 2019, weather permitting. 

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
