Temporary Lane Closure S Harbour Island Boulevard to begin July 9, 2018 for Sidewalk Construction

A portion of S Harbour Island Boulevard between Knights Run Avenue and Old Water Street will close daily beginning on Monday, July 9, 2018 for sidewalk construction. A private contractor will install a handicap accessible sidewalk on the east side on S Harbour Island Boulevard between Knights Run Avenue and Park Crest at 700 S Harbour Island Boulevard. The northbound lane on S Harbour Island Boulevard between Knights Run Avenue and the Harbour Island bridge will close from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on July 9, 2018.

One (1) lane of northbound traffic will be maintained in the center lane of S Harbour Island Boulevard between Knights Run Avenue and Old Water Street at all times during construction, with delays.

During construction, the sidewalk on the east side of S Harbour Island Boulevard between the Harbour Island bridge and the Park Crest building will be closed. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

All lanes on S Harbour Island Boulevard between Knights Run Avenue and Old Water Street will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, August 3, 2018, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
