Temporary Lane Closure on S. Howard Avenue to begin March 20, 2017 for Stormwater Improvement

Phase Four (4) of the Howard Avenue Stormwater Improvement Project will begin on Monday, March 20, 2017. Phase Three (3) Watrous Avenue road closure is scheduled to be completed by 4 pm on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
A portion of Howard Avenue between Bayshore Boulevard and Morrison Avenue will close on Monday, March 20, 2017, as part of a 5 Phase Capital Improvement Project. The northbound lane on Howard Avenue from Marjory Avenue to Watrous Avenue will be temporarily closed, from 9 am to 4 pm, beginning on March 20, 2017, as part of the Phase 4 construction work. The City contractor will install new concrete curb, gutter and driveways on the east side of Howard Avenue between Marjory Avenue and Watrous Avenue. This phase of work is scheduled to be completed by 4 pm, on Friday, April 7, 2017, with the entire project being completed by mid-April 2017, weather permitting.
Northbound and southbound traffic on Howard Avenue will be maintained at all times during construction, with traffic delays.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
