Temporary Lane Closure on S Lois Avenue to begin August 2, 2019 for Utility Work

(This is a revision to a Traffic Advisory issed on July 26, 2019)

A portion of S Lois Avenue between Henderson Boulevard and W Swann Avenue  that closed on Friday, August 2, 2019 for utility work has been extended.  A utility contractor will be installing a gas main on the east side of S Lois Avenue between W Mullen Avenue and W McKay Avenue. 

The northbound lane on S Lois Avenue between W Morrison Avenue and W McKay Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on August 2, 2019. 

Northbound and southbound traffic on S Lois Avenue between W Morrison Avenue and W McKay Avenue will be intermittently maintained on the west side of S Lois Avenue at all times during construction, with delays. 

It is anticipated that all lanes on S Lois Avenue will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Saturday, September 14, 2019, weather permitting.   

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid congestion.

Northbound and southbound motorists can use S Church Avenue between Henderson Boulevard and W Swann Avenue, in lieu of S Lois Avenue.
