Temporary Lane Closure on S MacDill Avenue to begin February 4, 2020 for Tree Removal

A portion of S MacDill Avenue between W Gandy Boulevard and W Euclid Avenue will close from 9 am to 4 pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 for tree removal.  A private contractor will be removing a tree from the rear of a home located on the northeast corner of S MacDill Avenue and W Lawn Avenue.

The northbound lane of S MacDill Avenue between W Fair Oaks Avenue and W Harbor View Avenue will close beginning at 9 am on February 4, 2020.

Northbound and southbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the west side of S MacDill Avenue between W Fair Oaks Avenue and W Harbor View Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks in the work area will be closed.  Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via signage to other sidewalks in the area.

All lanes on S MacDill Avenue between W Fair Oaks Avenue and W Harbor View Avenue will be open by 4 pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorist use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Northbound and southbound motorists can use S Himes Avenue between W Gandy Boulevard and W Euclid Avenue, in lieu of S MacDill Avenue.
