Temporary Lane Closure on W Azeele Street to begin August 3, 2020 for Driveway Construction

A portion of W Azeele Street between Henderson Boulevard and S MacDill Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, August 3, 2020, for driveway construction.  A private contractor will be installing a new driveway and sidewalk on the south side of W Azeele Avenue for a new business.  One (1) eastbound lane on W Azeele Street between S Bradford Avenue and S Woodlynne Avenue will close at 9 am beginning on August 3, 2020. 

One (1) lane of eastbound traffic will be maintained on W Azeele Street between S Bradford Avenue and S Woodlynne Avenue at all times during construction, with delays. 

The sidewalk in the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks in the area via signage.

All lanes on W Azeele Street between S Bradford Avenue and S Woodlynne Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2020, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion. 

Eastbound motorists can use W Swann Avenue between Henderson Boulevard and S MacDill Avenue, in lieu of W Azeele Street.

Eastbound trucks can use W Kennedy Boulevard between Henderson Boulevard and S MacDill Avenue, in lieu of W Azeele Street.
