Temporary Lane Closure on W Brorein Street to begin October 16, 2017 for Utility Construction to be extended

A portion of W Brorein Street between S Ashley Drive and S Plant Avenue will close beginning Monday, October 16, 2017 for utility construction.  A private contractor will be installing water line for the new residential highrise on the corner of W Brorein Street and S Parker Street.  One (1) lane on W W Brorein Street between S Ashley Drive and S Plant Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on October 16, 2017.  S Parker Street between W Grand Central Avenue and W Brorein Street will also be closed for construction. 

Pedestrians in the area of construction will need to use S Plant Avenue to W Cardy Street and S Parker Street to access the Publix grocery store.

All lanes on W Brorein Street and on S Parker Street are scheduled to reopen by 4 pm on Friday, November 10, 2017, weather permitting. 

The City recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Trucks can use S Florida Avenue to E Kennedy Boulevard to avoid congestion on W Brorein Street.
