Temporary Lane Closure W Brorein Street March 28, 2018 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Brorein Street between S Ashley Drive and S Plant Avenue will close beginning Wednesday, March 28, 2018, for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing utilities on the corner of W Brorein Street and S Parker Street.  One (1) lane on W Brorein Street between S Ashley Drive and S Parker Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on March 28, 2018.  S Parker Street between W Grand Central Avenue and W Brorein Street will also be closed for the construction.

At least one (1) westbound lane on W Brorein Street between S Ashley Drive and S Plant Avenue will remain open at all times during the construction. 

Sidewalks along W Brorein Street and S Parker Street will be closed throughout the construction area. Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage. Pedestrians in the area of construction can use S Plant Avenue to W Cardy Street and S Parker Street to access the Publix grocery store.

All lanes on W Brorein Street and on S Parker Street are scheduled to reopen by 4 pm on Friday, April 6, 2018, weather permitting. 

The City recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Trucks can use S Florida Avenue to E Kennedy Boulevard to avoid congestion on W Brorein Street.
