Temporary Lane Closure of W Cass Street beginning June 10, 2019 for Utility Construction

 

Tampa, FL (June 5, 2019) –  A portion of W Cass Street between N Howard Avenue and N Willow Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, June 10, 2019, for utility work.  A utility contractor will be installing a gas service connection to a property at the southwest corner of W Cass Street and N Oregon Avenue.  The eastbound traffic lane on W Cass Street between N Rome Avenue and N Oregon Avenue will close at 9 am on June 10, 2019.

Eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained intermittently in the north side of W Cass Street, with delays.

Sidewalks on the south side of W Cass Street between N Rome Avenue and N Oregon Avenue will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

It is anticipated that all lanes on W Cass Street between N Rome Avenue and N Oregon Avenue will be open by 4 pm on Friday, June 14, 2019, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
