Temporary Lane Closure of W Cypress Street to begin December 27, 2017 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Cypress Street between N Westshore Boulevard and N Lois Avenue will close Wednesday, December 27, 2017, for utility construction.  The City contractor will replace an existing fire hydrant on the south side of W Cypresss Street in front of Double Tree hotel.  One (1) eastbound lane on W Cypress Street between N Renellie Drive and N Manhahattan Avenue will close by 9 am on December 27, 2017 and will reopen by 4 pm, weather permitting.

The sidewalk on the south side of W Cypress Street between N Trask Street and N Hubbert Avenue will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained on the north side of W Cypress Street between N Trask Street and N Hubert Avenue, at all times.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid congestion.  Eastbound motorists can use W Kennedy Boulevard between N Westshore Boulevard and N Lois Avenue in lieu of W Cypress Street.
