Temporary Lane Closure W De Leon Street to begin April 20, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of W De Leon Street between S Hyde Park Avenue and S Plant Avenue will close on Monday, April 20, 2020 for utility construction.  A utililty contractor will install a gas service line on W De Leon Street between S Hyde Park Avenue and S Plant Avenue. The eastbound lane on W De Leon Street between S Hyde Park Avenue and S Plant Avenue will close daily between 9 am and 4 pm beginning on April 20, 2020.

Eastbound and westbound traffic on W De Leon Street between S Hyde Park Avenue and S Plant Avenue will be intermittently maintained on the north side of W De Leon Street at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

It is anticipated that all lanes on W De Leon Street between S Hyde Park Avenue and S Plant Avenue will reopen by 4 pm on Friday, May 29, 2020, weather permitting. 

The City recommends that motorists allow additional time when traveling on W De Leon Street between S Hyde Park Avenue and S Plant Avenue.
