Temporary Lane Closure of W Gandy Boulevard to begin February 10, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Gandy Boulevard between Bayshore Boulevard and S MacDill Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, February 10, 2020.  A utility contractor will be installing aerial and underground communication cables on the north side of W Gandy Boulevard between Bayshore Boulevard and S MacDill Avenue. 

One (1) westbound lane of W Gandy Boulevard between Bayshore Boulevard and S MacDill Avenue will close at 9 am beginning on February 10, 2020. 

One (1) westbound lane on W Gandy Boulevard between Bayshore Boulevard and S MacDill Avenue will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks within the work areas will be closed.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other available sidewalks at all times during construction.

It is anticipated that all lanes on W Gandy Boulevard between Bayshore Boulevard and S MacDill Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, weather permitting. 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Westbound motorists can use W Euclid Avenue or Interbay Boulevard between Bayshore Boulevard and S MacDill Avenue in lieu of W Gandy Boulevard.
