Temporary Lane Closure on W Platt Street to begin March 26, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Platt Street between South Boulevard and Bayshore Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Thursday, March 26, 2020 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be completing final restoration for a small wireless facility on the north side of W Platt Street between S Parker Street and Bayshore Boulevard.
One (1) lane on W Platt Street between S Plant Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard will close at 9 am beginning on March 26, 2020.
One (1) lane of traffic on W Platt Street between S Plant Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
The sidewalk on the north side of W Platt Street between S Parker Street and Bayshore Boulevard will be closed during construction. Pedestrians will be detoured to other sidewalks in the area with signage.
It is anticipated that all lanes on W Platt Street between S Plant Avenue and Bayshore Boulevard will be open by 4 pm on Friday, April 10, 2020, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid congestion.
