Temporary Lane Closure W Sligh Avenue November 14, 2018 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Sligh Avenue between N Rome Avenue and N Florida Avenue will close Wednesday, November 14, 2018, for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing underground utilities on the south side of W Sligh Avenue between N Orleans Avenue and N Willow Avenue.  One (1) eastbound lane on W Sligh Avenue between the N Dakota Avenue and N Willow Avenue will be close between 9 am to 4 pm on November 14, 2018.

One (1) lane of eastbound traffic will be maintained on W Sligh Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.

Sidewalks in the construction area will be closed.  Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks in the area with signage.

All lanes on W Sligh Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on November 14, 2018, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Eastbound motorists can use W Waters Avenue or W Hillsborough Avenue between N Rome Avenue and N Florida Avenue in lieu of W Sligh Avenue.
