Temporary Lane Closure on W Spruce Street to begin May 20, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Spruce Street between N Himes Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing telecommunications lines on the north side of W Spruce Street between N Himes Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway. The westbound lane on W Spruce Street between N Himes Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway will close at 9 am beginning on May 20, 2020.
Westbound and eastbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the south side of W Spruce Street between N Himes Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway during construction, with delays.
All lanes on W Spruce Street between N Himes Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Monday, July 20, 2020, weather permitting. 
The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
Westbound and eastbound motorists can use W Cypress Street or W Columbus Drive between N Himes Avenue and N Dale Mabry Highway in lieu of W Spruce Street.
