Temporary Lane Closure on W Spruce Street to begin November 12, 2019 for Utility Construction

A portion of W Spruce Street between N Himes Avenue and N MacDill Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning Tuesday, November 12, 2019 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing a gas main and gas service line on W Spruce Street between N Glen Avenue and N Lincoln Avenue.

The eastbound lane of W Spruce Street between N Glen Avenue and N Lincoln Avenue will close beginning on November 12, 2019.  

Eastbound and westbound traffic on Spruce Street between N Glen Avenue and N Lincoln Avenue will be intermittently maintained on the north side of W Spruce Street at all times during construction, with delays. 

All lanes on W Spruce Street between N Glen Avenue and N Lincoln Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, November 29, 2019, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Eastbound and westbound motorists can use W Cypress Street between N Himes Avenue and N MacDill Avenue in lieu of W Spruce Street.
