Temporary Lane Closure on Water Street (formerly Old Water Street) to begin July 27, 2020 for Utility Construction
A portion of Water Street (formerly Old Water Street) between S Morgan Street and Channelside Drive will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, July 27, 2020 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing power to a small wireless facility on the south side of Water Street between S Morgan Street and the Tampa Bay History Center.
One (1) eastbound lane on Water Street between S Morgan Street and the Tampa Bay History Center will close at 9 am beginning on July 27, 2020.
One (1) eastbound lane on Water Street between S Morgan Street and Tampa Bay History Center will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
Sidewalks in the construction area will be closed during the construction. Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.
All lanes on Water Street between S Morgan Street and the Tampa Bay History Center will open to traffic by 4 pm on Monday, August 10, 2020, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
