Temporary Lane Closures on Bayshore Boulevard and E Brorein Street to begin May 29, 2019 for Utility Construction

(This is a revision to a Traffic Advisory issued on May 23, 2019)

 

A portion of Bayshore Boulevard between E Brorein Street and W Platt Street and E Brorein Street between S Tampa Street and Bayshore Boulevard will close daily beginning on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing a new utility pole and associated equipment for a small wireless facility on the east side of Bayshore Boulevard between E Brorein Street and W Cardy Street.  This construction work will be completed in 2 phases.

 

In Phase 1, one (1) southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard between E Brorein Street and W Platt Street and one (1) westbound lane on E Brorein Street between S Tampa Street and Bayshore Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 3 pm beginning on July 2, 2019. 

 

One (1) southbound lane on Bayshore Boulevard between E Brorein Street and W Platt Street and three (3) westbound lanes on E Brorein Street between S Tampa Street and Bayshore Boulevard will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

 

All lanes on Bayshore Boulevard and E Brorein Street will reopen to traffic by 3 pm on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, weather permitting.

 

Phase 2 construction will be performed at a later date.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
