Temporary Lane Closures of Bayshore Boulevard to begin June 1, 2020 for Utility Construction
A portion of Bayshore Boulevard between W Gandy Boulevard and Interbay Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 3 pm beginning on Monday, June 1, 2020 for utility construction. A utility contractor will be locating utilities, installing a gas main and gas service connections along Bayshore Boulevard between W Price Avenue and W Tyson Avenue.
There will be lane closures of both the southbound and northbound traffic lanes on Bayshore Boulevard between W Price Avenue and W Tyson Avenue beginning at 9 am on June 1, 2020.
Southbound and northbound traffic on Bayshore Boulevard between W Price Avenue and W Tyson Avenue will be intermittently maintained at all times during construction, with delays.
Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.
All lanes on Bayshore Boulevard between W Price Avenue and W Tyson Avenue will be open to traffic by 3 pm on Friday, August 7, 2020, weather permitting.
The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
Southbound and northbound motorists can use S MacDill Avenue between W Gandy Boulevard and Interbay Boulevard in lieu of Bayshore Boulevard.
