Temporary Lane Closures on Channelside Drive to begin August 5, 2019 for Road Construction

A portion of Channelside Drive between S Meridian Avenue/S Beneficial Drive and E Cumberland Avenue will close for three (3) consecutive nights beginning on Monday, August 5, 2019 for road construction.  A private contractor will be installing pedestrian crossing warning signage  on Channelside Drive between S Meridian Avenue/S Beneficial Drive and E Cumberland Avenue.

 

The eastbound lane on Channelside Drive between S Meridian Avenue/S Beneficial Drive and E Cumberland Avenue will close nightly beginning at 11 pm on August 5, 2019 and will reopen the following morning by 5 am, weather permitting.

 

The sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

 

All lanes on Channelside Drive between S Meridian Avenue/S Beneficial Drive and E Cumberland Avenue will be open to traffic by 5 am on Thursday, August 8, 2019, weather permitting.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
