In Downtown Tampa, there will be nightly lane closures at 33 intersections beginning on Monday, September 25, 2017 for installation of underground conduit and equipment on existing traffic signal poles and mast arms for the THEA Connected Vehicle Pilot Project.

Temporary lane closures will begin at 7 pm on September 25, 2017 and will reopen by 5 am the following morning. Work will take place seven (7) nights a week for just over a seven (7) week period. Construction will occur at one intersection at a time.  At least one (1) lane of traffic will be maintained at every intersection during construction.

The project is anticipated to be completed by 5 am on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, weather permitting.

Sidewalks within the work areas will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.

The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
