Temporary Lane Closures on E 21st Avenue to begin on January 27, 2020 for Utility Work

A portion of E 21st Avenue between N Nebraska Avenue and N 22nd Street will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, January 27, 2020 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing communication cables and utility poles on both sides of E 21st Avenue between N Nebraska Avenue and N 22nd Street.

 

The eastbound or westbound traffic lane on E 21st Avenue between N Nebraska Avenue and N 22nd Street will close at 9 am beginning on January 27, 2020. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays, utilizing the center auxiliary lane.

 

Two (2) eastbound lanes of traffic on E 21st Street between N Nebraska Avenue and N 22nd Street will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.

 

Sidewalks in the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via signage to other sidewalks in the area.

 

All lanes on E 21st Avenue between N Nebraska Avenue and N 22nd Street will be open to traffic at 4 pm on Friday, February 7, 2020, weather permitting.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Eastbound motorists can use E Lake Avenue between N Nebraska Avenue and N 22nd Street, in lieu of E 21st Avenue.
