Temporary Lane Closures on E Brorein Street, S Tampa Street and S Ashley Drive to begin March 16, 2020 for Utility Maintenance

A portion of E Brorein Street between S Morgan Street and Bayshore Boulevard, S Tampa Street between E Jackson Street and E Brorein Street and S Ashley Drive between E Whiting Street and E Brorein Street will close nightly from 8 pm to 6 am beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, for utility maintenance.  A City contractor will be cleaning and relining sewer lines on E Brorein Street between S Franklin Street and Bayshore Boulevard and on S Tampa Street between E Whiting Street and E Brorein Street as the first phase of a 2-phase project.
Two (2) lanes on E Brorein Street between S Morgan Street and Bayshore Boulevard, two (2) lanes on S Tampa Street between E Whiting Street and E Brorein Street and one (1) southbound lane on S Ashley Drive between E Whiting Street and E Brorein Street will close at 8 pm beginning on March 16, 2020. 
Two (2) lanes on E Brorein Street between S Morgan Street and Bayshore Boulevard, at least one (1) lane on S Tampa Street between E Whiting Street and E Brorein Street and one (1) southbound lane on S Ashley Drive between E Whiting Street and E Brorein Street will be maintained at all times during the construction, with delays.
Sidewalks within the construction area will be closed. Pedestrians will be detoured to other available sidewalks with signage.
All lanes on W Brorein Street, S Tampa Street and S Ashley Drive are scheduled to reopen by 6 am on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, weather permitting. 
Phase 2 of the work is scheduled to begin within 2 weeks.
The City recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
