Temporary Lane Closures on Green Street, Armenia Avenue and Howard Avenue April 11, 2017 for Road Construction
A portion of Green Street between Albany Avenue and Armenia Avenue will close on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 for road construction. Green Street from Howard Avenue to Armenia Avenue will close at 8 pm on April 11, 2017 as the City contractor mills and resurfaces the intersection of Green Street and Armenia Avenue. Green Street from Albany Avenue to the I-275 southbound off-ramp will also be closed to facilitate the traffic being detoured from I-275 southbound Armenia/Howard off-ramp.
One (1) northbound lane on Howard Avenue from La Salle Street to Green Street will close at 8 pm on April 11, 2017.
One (1) southbound lane on Armenia Avenue from Main Street to Green Street will also close at 8 pm on April 11, 2017.
I-275 southbound on-ramp on Green Street to the west of Armenia Avenue will remain open during construction.
Local residents and property owners on Green Street between Howard Avenue and Armenia Avenue will have access to their properties, at all times during construction from Howard Avenue. Local residents and property owners on Green Street between Albany Avenue to the I-275 southbound off-ramp will have access to their properties from Albany Avenue, at all times during construction. Traffic control officers will be at key intersections during the construction to direct traffic.
It is anticipated that all lanes on Green Street, Howard Avenue and Armenia Avenue will reopen on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 by 4 am, weather permitting.
The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
