Temporary Lane Closures on Howard Avenue to begin July 10, 2017 for Utility Work

A portion of Howard Avenue between Platt Street and Kennedy Boulevard will close beginning on Monday, July 10, 2017 for water line construction.  Two (2) lanes on Howard Avenue between Cleveland and Kennedy Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm.  A private contractor will be installing a water service connection on Howard Avenue for a new restaurant at 122 S Howard Avenue. 

 

Pedestrian access will be available on the west side of Howard Avenue between Cleveland Street and Kennedy Boulevard, at all times during construction.

 

It is anticipated that the northbound lanes on Howard Avenue will reopen to traffic by 4 pm on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, weather permitting.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
