(This is a revision to the Traffic Advisory sent out on May 11, 2017)

A portion of Howard Avenue between Bristol Avenue and Swann Avenue will close at 10 pm on Monday, May 15, 2017 for pavement investigation work.  Madrid Engineering Group will be collecting 15 coring samples of the pavement in Howard Avenue for a future road improvement design project. The northbound or southbound lane on Howard Avenue will remain open throughout the construction. Howard Avenue will reopen by 6 am on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, weather permitting.

Northbound and southbound traffic on Howard Avenue between Bristol Avenue and Swann Avenue will be maintained with flagmen at all times during construction with delays.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative north-south routes to avoid congestion. Northbound and southbound motorists traveling between Swann Avenue and Morrison Avenue can use Macdill Avenue in lieu of Howard Avenue.
