Temporary Lane Closures of Interbay Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue to begin November 25, 2019 for Utility Construction
A portion of Interbay Boulevard between S Dale Mabry Highway and S Manhattan Avenue and S Manhattan Avenue between W Gandy Boulevard and Interbay Boulevard will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Monday, November 25, 2019, for utility construction. A utility contractor will be installing street lights and poles as part of the Mayor’s Initiative/Bright Lights, Safe Nights program along Interbay Boulevard and S Manhattan Avenue.
The westbound lane on Interbay Boulevard between Tanker Way and S Manhattan Avenue will close daily beginning on November 25, 2019. Westbound and eastbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the south side of Interbay Boulevard at all times during construction, with delays.
The southbound lane on S Manhattan Avenue between Elizabeth Anne Circle and Interbay Boulevard will close daily beginning on November 25, 2019. Southbound and northbound traffic will be intermittently maintained on the east side of S Manhattan Avenue at all times during construction, with delays.
S Manhattan Avenue between Interbay Boulevard and Elizabeth Anne Circle will close for approximately 5 minutes to install an aerial electric line across S Manhattan Avenue.
Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.
All lanes on Interbay Boulevard between Tanker Way and S Manhattan Avenue and all lanes on S Manhattan Avenue between Interbay Boulevard and Elizabeth Anne Circle will be open to traffic by 4 pm Friday, December 13, 2019, weather permitting.
The City recommends using alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion. Westbound and eastbound motorists can use W Gandy Boulevard between S Dale Mabry Highway and S Manhattan Avenue, in lieu of Interbay Boulevard.
Southbound and northbound motorists can use S Dale Mabry Highway between W Gandy Boulevard and Interbay Boulevard, in lieu of S Manhattan Avenue.
