A portion of MacDill Avenue between El Prado Boulevard and Gandy Boulevard will be closed starting on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, for utility work.  The City’s contractor, Miller Pipeline, will be cleaning and maintaining sewer lines in the center of the roadway of MacDill Avenue from the MacDill Avenue intersection at Euclid Avenue to Waverly Avenue nightly from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am the following morning.  Portions of the northbound and southbound traffic lanes on MacDill Avenue will be closed with one (1) lane of intermittent traffic maintained in the southbound lane with flagmen, with delays.

The eastbound lane on Euclid Avenue east of the MacDill Avenue intersection will be closed with eastbound traffic maintained in the westbound through lane. Westbound traffic on Euclid Avenue at the MacDill Avenue intersection will be maintained in the right lane with all turning movements permitted.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the work area.

It is anticipated that all lanes on MacDill Avenue and Euclid Avenue will open to traffic by 5 am on Friday, July 7, 2017, weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
