A portion of MacDill Avenue from Swann Avenue to Morrison Avenue will be closed beginning on February 20, 2017.  One (1) of the two (2) northbound lanes and one (1) of the two (2) southbound lanes on MacDill Avenue from Swann Avenue to Morrison Avenue will be closed at 9am on February 20, 2017.  The City contractor will be cleaning and lining the existing sewer lines on MacDill Avenue, as part of the Capital Improvement Project.

Morrison Avenue at the intersection of MacDill Avenue will also have lane closures.  The eastbound and westbound traffic approaching MacDill Avenue will be restricted to a right turn onto MacDill Avenue during the construction period.

The construction work is anticipated to be completed by 4 pm on Monday, February  27, 2017, weather permitting.

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.  Himes Avenue and Howard Avenue can be used to travel northbound and southbound in lieu of MacDill Avenue.  Swann Avenue can be used by motorist to travel eastbound and westbound in lieu of Morrison Avenue, during the construction period.
