Temporary Lane Closures on Morgan Street and on Brorein Street to begin June 12, 2017 for Roadway and Infrastructure Improvements
The northbound lanes on Morgan Street from Channelside Drive to Eunice Street will close at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, for roadway and infrastructure improvements. One (1) northbound lane and one (1) southbound lane will be maintained on the west side of Morgan St between Channelside Drive and Eunice Street, during construction. All lanes on Morgan Street are scheduled to reopen by 4 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, weather permitting.
On Monday, June 12, 2017, the construction area on the south side of Brorein Street at the intersection of Jefferson Street will extend to the west toward Morgan Street to install utility lines. Two (2) westbound lanes on Brorein Street will be maintained at all times during construction. The crosswalk on the north side of Brorein Street at the intersection of Jefferson Street will be closed and pedestrians will be detoured to the midblock crossing to the north of the intersection. The work on Brorein Street at the intersection of Jefferson Street is scheduled to be completed by 4 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017, weather permitting.
Additionally, improvements continue along Jefferson Street between Channelside Drive and Brorein Street. Jefferson Street is scheduled to reopen on Friday, June 30, 2017.
The northernmost lane of Channelside Drive between Florida Avenue and Old Water Street also remains closed. Pedestrians on Channelside Drive between Morgan Street and Old Water Street will be directed to the south side of Channelside Drive. The northern lane of Channelside Drive between Florida Avenue and Jefferson Street is scheduled to reopen on Friday, June 30, 2017.
Cumberland Avenue between Nebraska Avenue and Caesar Street and the intersection of Cumberland Avenue and Caesar Street will remain closed until Friday, December 29, 2017.
