Temporary Lane Closures on N 15th Street to begin on October 3, 2019 for Utility Construction

A portion of N 15th Street between E 17th Avenue and E Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard will close beginning on Thursday, October 3, 2019 for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing overhead and underground communication facilities on N 15th Street between E 19th Avenue and E Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard. There will be daily lane closures on N 15th Street beginning at 9 am on October 3, 2019.

 

One (1) northbound lane on N 15th Street between E 19th Avenue and E Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard will be closed to traffic.

 

One (1) northbound lane on N 15th Street between E 19th Avenue and E Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard will be maintained during construction, with delays.

 

Sidewalks in the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via signage to other sidewalks in the area.

All lanes on N 15th Street between E 17th Avenue and E Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard will be open to traffic at 4 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2019, weather permitting.

 

The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.

Northbound motorists can use N Nebraska Avenue or N 22nd Street between E 17th Avenue and E Dr Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard, in lieu of N 15th Street.
