Temporary Lane Closures on N Armenia Avenue to begin July 22, 2020 for Utility Construction

A portion of N Armenia Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue will close daily from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, for utility construction.  A utility contractor will be installing communication lines on the west side of N Armenia Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue. 


One (1) southbound lane on N Armenia Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue will close at 9 am on July 22, 2020.


One (1) southbound lane of traffic on N Armenia Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays.


Sidewalks within the work area will be closed during construction.  Pedestrian access will be maintained via signage to other sidewalks in the area at all times.


All lanes on N Armenia Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue will be open to traffic by 4 pm on Friday, August 14, 2020, weather permitting. 


The City of Tampa recommends that motorists use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion. 


Southbound motorists can use N Rome Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue in lieu of N Armenia Avenue. 


Southbound trucks can use N Florida Avenue between W Sligh Avenue and W Hillsborough Avenue in lieu of N Armenia Avenue.
