Temporary Lane Closures of N Habana Ave to begin April 24, 2019 for Road Construction

A portion of N. Habana Ave between W. MLK Blvd. and Curtis St. will have temporary lane closures from 9 am to 4 pm beginning on Wednesday 4/24/19, for roadway resurfacing.  The City of Tampa’s Transportation and Stormwater Services Department Transportation Operations Division will be resurfacing the roadway on N. Habana Ave. between MLK Blvd. and Curtis St.  One (1) Southbound lane on N Habana Ave between W. MLK Blvd and W. Curtis St. and one (1) Northbound lane on N. Habana Ave. between W. MLK Blvd. and W. Curtis St. will close beginning at 9 am on April 24, 2019.

One (1) southbound lane on N. Habana Ave. between W. MLK Blvd. and W. Curtis St. and (1) Northbound lane on N. Habana Ave. between W. MLK Blvd. and W. Curtis St. will be maintained at all times during construction, with delays. 

The sidewalks in the work areas will be open during construction. 

All lanes on N. Habana Ave. between W. MLK Blvd. and W. Curtis St. will reopen to traffic by 4 pm daily. The project should be completed by Thursday 4/30/19 weather permitting.

The City recommends using alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion.
